When A Bad Boy Wants Your Heart 2 Page 9

She looked at me, and I didn’t know what was going through her mind.

“I don’t want you looking fucking dumb, Sade. But if that’s what you want, I will keep my opinions to myself. If you want to run after that nigga, be my guest,” she said. “I’ve been a good fucking friend to you. I’m sorry I didn’t answer the phone that one time. But you not about to throw that in my face. If I didn’t give a fuck about you, you wouldn’t be in my house right now. I wouldn’t have just cussed your lame ass boyfriend out right now. But you want to act like a victim. Have fun with that.”

“So, it’s like that, Bo? You’re not even going to listen to what I’m saying because you missed the point,” I said angrily.

“I didn’t miss anything, Sade. I heard you loud and clear. You want me to be a yes man and keep my opinion to myself, even when I see that you’re a whole train wreck. Because I know you, and the look in your eyes when you look at him, is you contemplating going back to him. I see it.”

I didn’t know what to say.

“Do what you got to do, Sade. I don’t care anymore,” Bo said and walked away, leaving me in the living room alone.

I watched her leave and felt like a mess. I didn’t want to stay there with her because I knew her opinion of me now. The way she looked at me made me feel like I was stupid for having these feelings. But she didn’t understand. I really loved that man. It was hard to just let feelings go that had been strong for years and years. How could I forget about them after just a few days? Greg had been there for me through so much, things Bo didn’t even know. She wouldn’t understand.

I cried as I went to the room I had called home for the last three days and packed the things I took from the house into my suitcase. Bo didn’t want me there, and I didn’t want to be there either. Before I left, I turned the stove off since I smelled that the food was done. I didn’t even go to Bo’s room to tell her I was leaving. What was the point?

Making my way to my car, I backed out her garage and drove down the street. I dialed a number on my phone, and it rang twice.

“Hey,” I said when Greg’s voice came over the line.

  “Where are you?” he asked.

“I’m coming home,” I said, getting a little choked up.

I didn’t know if this was the right decision or if I would regret it. But, right now I needed to be around someone who I felt loved me. And at this moment, Greg was that.

  Bo

I sat at my computer doing some re-touching on some pictures I’d taken the other day, but my mind was far away. I hated how things went down with Sade and me last night, but what was I supposed to do? I couldn’t make decisions for her even though I knew what she was doing was fucked up. What was even more fucked up was that she left my house without even telling me she was gone. I didn’t have to think too hard about where she might have gone.

It hurt that I had opened my home to her, and she had basically shitted on me and ran back to that man the first time he popped up. I hate that she went back, but she could have at least let him sweat for a couple weeks. I wished she had more self-respect, but love is blind I guess. I hadn’t reached out to her because I wasn’t going to run after her. For what? She was grown, and she had made her own decision. I just hoped it worked out. It was probably for the best that we take some time to chill, though. She had said some things yesterday, and I had said some things that I knew hurt her feelings and vice versa. I loved that girl like my blood sister. Most days, I loved her more than my real blood sister, to be honest. But I was learning to never come between a friend and her man. Because when she’s mad at him, all the shit you both talked is fine and well. But when they get back together, you become the bad person for talking shit about him. Never again.

My phone started to buzz. I glanced down and smiled. City was calling. Ever since a couple nights ago when I went to the house, we had been doing so good. We talked on the phone all the time, and I saw him every day. Sade staying with me was the only reason I hadn’t been at his house every night because I didn’t want to leave her alone. But, now that she had left, I planned to spend most of my nights up under him.

“Hey babe,” I said when I answered the phone.

“What’s up? Where you at?” he asked me.

It sounded like he was driving.

“At home doing some work,” I answered.

“You forgot we said you was gonna meet me on Lincoln Road later?” he asked, and I bit my lip.

Yesterday, City had said we should go chill down on the beach and walk on Lincoln Road where all the shops and restaurants were. Then we would go back to his house.

  “No, I didn’t forget. I’m gonna leave in a minute,” I said.

“You got about ten minutes cuz I’m on the way to you,” he said.

“What?” I quickly said. “I thought I was meeting you there.”

“Nah, ma. I know your ass, you would’ve been late as fuck, and I’m not tryin’ to be sitting around looking dumb. I’m coming for you,” he said and chuckled.

I tried not to laugh. I was always late; he wasn’t lying.

“Okay. I gotta go change clothes and all that,” I said then got up and went to my closet.

“You better get to going then, cuz I’m ’bout to pull up,” he said.

I sighed and looked back at my computer. What I was working on could wait. My deadline was four days from now, and I was almost finished.

“Alright, I’ll be ready,” I said.

Ten minutes later, I walked out to meet City wearing a blue sundress and wedges.

“Hey, babe,” I said as I got in the passenger seat.

“Why you out here looking so good? I’m ’bout to bust any nigga’s head open who looks at you too long,” City said, looking me up and down.

“City, you better not!” I giggled as he chuckled and drove off down the street.

I was excited that we were doing something random and fun this evening. I would be even happier when we got back to the house, and he got me out these clothes, but right now I was just glad we were together.

In twenty minutes, we were pulled up to a parking garage a block away from Lincoln Road.

“I haven’t been down here in the longest,” I said as we walked out the garage.

Lincoln Road was right on South Beach. It was a long strip of stores, clothing shops and restaurants that was always filled with people. It was a nice place to go chill, grab a drink, and just people watch.

“I’m hungry as fuck. You want to eat first?” City asked and grabbed my hand.

“I could eat,” I said, looking up at him.

I followed him to this Italian place that he said was really good, and we were seated soon after by the waiter on the outside so we could see the people walking by. I told him about the drama with Sade, and he listened while I vented.

“You know how girls be sometimes. She loves that nigga. You just gotta back off and let her do her,” he said and shrugged.

“I know. I hate that he’s taking advantage of her like that, though. She doesn’t deserve that,” I said sadly.

“Yeah, but she not about to see that until she’s ready to see that. Until then, maybe you just gotta love her from a distance,” he said.

I nodded because I knew he was right. There wasn’t too much more I could do about the situation. When she needed me, I guessed she would come back.

“So, did you and your brother meet up yet?” I asked, changing the subject.

“Nah,” City said as he looked out at the people walking by. “I’m gonna go see him at his shop tomorrow, though. Get that shit over with.”

I reached over and rubbed my hand across his. “It’s for your dad, so just think about him. No news on his condition yet?”

  City shook his head.

I felt horrible because there was nothing he could really do but wait. It was almost a week, though, which was really scary.

“I got a job to do with Guwop next week. Gonna be out of town fo
r a day or two,” he said, and I looked at him curiously.

“What ya’ll ’bout to do?” I asked.

“Some business shit,” he said then winked at me.

I decided not to push it. The less I knew about certain things, the better at the end of the day.

“Bo?” I heard a familiar voice say behind me, and I turned.

My stomach dipped when I saw my sister walking toward us with her phone at her ear. As she approached us, I heard her say, “Let me call you back, Mom.”

I rolled my eyes. Just my fucking luck.

“Bo, hi. Haven’t seen you in a while. What brings you out on Lincoln?” she asked.

She wasn’t looking at me, though, she was staring straight at City. I could see her eyes taking in everything about him. And because I knew her so well, when she turned her lips up a little as her eyes made their way to his arms that showcased his tattoos, I knew she would have a lot to say to my mother when she called her back.

“Probably the same thing that brought you out. I’m chillin,” I said.

She looked down at me as she stood over our table then gave me a half smile.

“So, you’re on a date? Who’s your little friend?” she asked like City wasn’t sitting right there.

“Ain’t nothin’ little about me, shorty,” City interjected, and I prayed to God that this wouldn’t end up crazy.

My sister looked over at him with her eyebrow raised. “Excuse me?”

“I know you heard me. I don’t know who you are, but you can ask about me. Don’t be referencing me like I’m not right in front of your face,” he said.

“I’m Bo’s sister, thank you. And no, I don’t know who you are. Are you from Love and Hip Hop or one of those shows? I don’t watch those, so if that’s your claim to fame, sorry,” she said.

“Bianca, don’t be coming up here disrespecting my friend. What the fuck?” I said.

“Disrespecting? Not really. He started with me. I don’t even know who he is,” she said and screwed up her face as she looked at City again.

“City Bailey, sweetheart. Google me. I’m your sister’s new nigga, so get used to me. Ima have to get used to your uptight, rude ass apparently,” he said.

“Did he just say he’s your boyfriend?” Bianca asked, looking back at me with wide eyes.

“Yes,” I said. There was no reason to lie about it, and I didn’t want to piss City off because he was already irritated.

“How are you in a relationship already when you were just engaged, Bo? What is wrong with you? When Mother hears about this, you’re going to get an earful, I promise you that,” she said as she straightened up and fixed her YSL bag on her shoulder.

“Bianca, I’m trying to enjoy my dinner, so if that’s all you have to say to me, you can move along,” I said.

I was sick of her. Now she was going to snitch to my mom, and dealing with her preaching was not something I was interested in right now.

“Don’t dismiss me, Bo. I swear I don’t know what’s going on with you, but whatever it is, you really need to do better,” she said and glanced over at City.

  I rolled my eyes.

“And you need to get some dick, that’s what you need,” City said, and I almost fell into the floor.

“What is wrong with, you? Bo, is this who you’re really seeing right now? Which gutter did you crawl into to find this one?” Bianca said.

“Bianca, leave,” I said and stood.

“Nah, she can stay. I got a friend for her. All she needs is to get her back broke in one time, and she gon’ lose that fucked up attitude real quick,” City said and chuckled.

“I’ll pass,” Bianca said and pushed her lips up. She turned back to me. “I’m sure we will talk about this again.”

I watched her leave as she held on to her purse and I rubbed my temples. That couldn’t have gone worse. I looked over at City, who had an amused look on his face.

“What?” he asked when I scowled at him.

“You know she's going to run back to my mother and tell her everything you said, right?” I said and sat back down.

“The fuck? So I’m supposed to be scared of that? You a grown ass woman. I been dickin’ you down, and your skin been glowing because of it. I told her I could put her on. I was doin her a favor,” he said.

I couldn’t help laughing because he was being dumb.

“You know everything I said was accurate. She always been like that?” he asked.

  I nodded.

“And your mama got a stick up her ass too?” he asked.

I frowned at him but nodded anyway.

“Shit, your pops need to do better at bustin’ that shit open. The fuck kinda games they playin’?” he asked then he burst out laughing.

“You play too much,” I said and reached for my glass of wine.

“Straight facts, Bo. The fuck you mean? When he ready to get at me, give him my number. I can give him some pointers,” he said.

“Eww,” I said scrunching up my face. I wasn’t trying to think about my father and mother having sex.

“How you think you got here, Bo? Your mom has been bent over a couple times, just obviously not the right way,” he said and died laughing.

“Anyway,” I said and rolling my eyes. I was ready to change the subject. “I heard there’s going to be a party at this club downtown tomorrow. We should go.”

“I got something better for you,” he said and looked over at me.

  “What’s that?” he asked.

“I got an invite to an industry party tomorrow at this club on the beach. You comin’ with me,” he said.

I smiled because that sounded like too much fun.

“I got a couple of my friends coming through too. You got any single friends?” he asked.

I thought about Sade, but she was acting up. My mind drifted to my friend, Monica. “Yeah, I can think of one.”

  “She cute?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’ll call her later and ask her,” I said.

“Aight cool,” he said and downed his drink. For the next hour, we ate and watched the tourists and people walking by. When it was going on to 1:00 pm, we were back in the car making our way back to the house.

I was feeling nice because I’d had a couple of drinks at the restaurant. City was playing “Nonstop” by Drake, and we were vibing as we drove back to his house.

“You know what I like about you?” I said, feeling the drinks a little too much.

“What’s that, Bo?” he asked, looking over at me as he switched lanes.

“You were exactly what I needed when I needed it,” I said

He looked at me and reached over to put his big hand between my legs. “You feelin’ alright?”

“Yes,” I said and hit him on the arm. “I’m for real. I’m glad we met.”

“I’m glad I met you too. For real. You a dope ass chick,” he said.

“Why do you like me?” I asked.

He looked over at me again. “You different from the other broads I used to know. You got a head on your shoulders and know what you want out of life. I’m with that. Plus, you pretty as fuck. Whenever I look at you, my dick gets hard.”

“Oh my goodness,” I said, shaking my head then laughing.

“I would fuck you in the middle of a crowded room. Fuck around and see,” he told me.

I burst out laughing. “City, you are so fucking crazy.”

  “What, you think I’m lyin’?”

He swerved and switched lanes all the way to the far right lane on the highway.

“City, what are you doing?!” I squealed and sat up in my chair. I watched as he pulled over on the shoulder while cars drove by.

The car rolled to a stop, and he unbuckled his seatbelt.

“Get out,” City said looking over at me before he opened his door and hopped out.

“What the fuck,” I said under my breath.

I had no idea what was going on, but I pulled on the door and hopped out. City walked over
to me with his signature swag, but he had a mischievous look on his face.

“City, what are you doing?” I asked as he walked over to me.

Cars flew by as we stood on the side of the road in the middle of the night.

“You think I won’t fuck you where people can see?” he asked, walking up to me and roughly grabbing my waist.

“What?” I asked breathlessly. The reality of what he was saying to me and what I realized he had in mind was slowly sinking in. But there was no way he for real was about to do what I thought he was going to do.

“You heard me, Bo. Step out of them panties now,” he said in my ear.

I looked around, but I was pressed against his big ass Range, and I knew if anyone driving by could see anything, it wouldn’t be much. So, I reached under my dress and pulled down my panties then stepped out of them like he asked.

He pulled me closer to him, and I felt his fingers go up my skirt and flick my clit.

“Mmmm, babe,” I said while holding on to his shoulders. I looked around again. “Wait, somebody’s gonna see, City.”

“I look like I give a fuck?” he asked as he leaned in close to my ear. His fingers on my clit started making my juices flow. He moved his fingers inside me then took them out and licked them.

“Shit,” he cursed, and I felt my pussy tingle.

When he reached down to unzip his pants and pulled his big dick out, I couldn’t help but bite my lip. He held on to me and pulled me up in one movement. I wrapped my legs around his waist, and as he supported me with one hand, I eased down on his dick.

“Oh my goooooood,” I moaned as he entered me. The sound of the cars passing by as he had me pressed against his Range made me even more turned on, and I could tell he was into it too.
